I just got my hunting license but I don't have any small caliber rifles for small game. I've my SR22 and M9. My question is has anyone tried rabbit hunting with the SR22? Experiences and thoughts?

SR22P? No experience, but my thought is if it's a gun it's gonna have no problem killing a rabbit. Distance would be the only real issue... I could get rabbit sized groupings with my SR22 pistol at 15 yards, but beyond that would be tough but very possible

i've hunted with my 22/45, 9mm P95 and Colt 45 ACP...why not an SR22?

simple...cuz i ain't got one...:shrug::online2long:;)

i once had a game warden get snotty with me for using a revolver to hunt with...in todays world...the SR22 might bring some unwanted attention but check your regs before using a handgun.

Shot some squirrels with my MkIII, haven't taken my SR22 out yet but I don't see why I couldn't hit some critters with it. Not as easy to reach out with as my mark but I could see making kills out to 25 yards if they're sitting still.
