I meant to post this earlier (like last year), but kept forgetting. :p

The following video, is a talk from DefCon (https://www.defcon.org/) 19, which took place last year in Las Vegas.

Pretty good review (how easy it is to break into) of gun locks, firearm lock boxes & gun safes from a hacker ("Deviant Ollam (http://deviating.net/)").

Interesting, but NSFW language from the presenter.

These manufacturers need to step it up. Who puts slots in their case so you can fit a lock pick in and add your robbers fingerprint to memory?

Actually, I would like any safe I use to be secure. They opened the Micro Vault (which I currently use) with a tubular pick. Took them about 5 seconds. The companies need to start using better locks. I think I am going to change mine out to a lock that will work (can't be easily picked) in the safe.
