I'm planning on swapping out my Para's MSH which is flat for an arched one. I've seen aftermarket ones offered in various shades/types of steel and aluminum. I also know that many manufacture's use plastic in their flat MSH's but I'm curious if anyone knows if arched MSH's are made in plastic too? I'm going to go steel as a final decision but am curious about the plastic.

I know Colt makes an arched MSH in plastic. Its just the standard serrated arched MSH. Midway has them for like 10 bucks.

This is one part that is fine in plastic, IMHO, but I have a plastic MSH on my 1911 and the checkering is sharp as heck!

I'm afraid I differ from Lead Waster... the plastic MSH on my Para lasted only as long as it took for me to get a quality (Smith & Alexander in my case) steel MSH.
