So I've had the G17 for about 6 months now and just went to Firing Line in HB and put 150 rounds into some evil paper targets. I was quite pleased with my shooting and started thinking how much I enjoy this gun and how comfortable it feels and how consistent it shoots. I am not a Glock fanboy or anything it was just the gun I liked best when shopping for a semi auto 9mm. I've put about 1800 rounds through the gun with 0 FTF and 0 FTE.

Good times. :D

Nice! I just picked up my first glock "19" yesterday. Feels great, can't wait to shoot it this week. Just have to get used to the trigger.

Quick Question: What ammo do you prefer to run through your Glock?

I buy reloads from a calguns member. (bullet_man911). His ammo is good and he's an upstanding guy.

I also agree that cleaning and maintenance is a breeze.

I bought my 17 rtf in late oct '11. Put ~2000 rounds through it with 0 issues. Been an awesome pistol.

Awesome news! I just brought home a new Gen 3 G19. I was a little worried after reading some of the negative feed back that's been posted.

Picking up my second G19 Thursday. I have about 7,000 rounds through one and not a single failure of any kind. Thinking about a 17,22 or a 23 next.

That's a good start, report back after 80,000 rounds...

I love my G17 as well. Super accurate, 100% reliable after about 5000 rounds. Half dollar sized groups at 15 yards all day long. Highlander, I am working up to 80,000 but can't afford it yet. I do take ammuntion donations if you are offering. My AR is making me poor as of late.:(

Noticed the Flitz -- when would you recommend using the paste vs the liquid version?

Thumbs forward grip and trigger pull made all the difference for me.

Gen3 G17, 13 years old, 30,000+ rounds, ZERO failures of any kind, ZERO parts replaced. Thinking of having my last name laser engraved on it because it is never leaving my family.

I fully believe our military should be issued Glock 17's and stop farting around with the M9.

You have no idea how many guys would love that.. Ive asked around. They all hate the M9 and want glocks or sigs..

Every friend of mine that has come back from Iraq/Afgan (and those who did not :( ) hated the M9. Nothing but bad things to say about it. I never liked the pistol myself.

Yea all my info comes from military contractors and base security who have at least 3+ years of service and time with those weapons. I know a select few who are ok with it and don't care but most hate them.

Iveshot them and they are pretty accurate but from what I've heard about them in war time scenarios and people who literally live off those pistols I'd have to do a ton of testing/training before I feel 100% about throwing one of those in a BOB kit.

Don't want to spoil this glockfan party here, I do have a G19 3rd gen and it is solid, trusty and rugged, but my home defense system is made of anHK45 as my bedside gun, an HK 30PL as my wife's, both in the master bedroom, another HK 30 in my living room as the 1st story weapon (all of them in GunVault 500 safes) and the G19 is the garage gun. Not necessarily the cindirella of my guns, but its location speaks about the noticeable gap it has against the HK's IMHO. Like them all, and trust my life to all, but definetively a differente pedigree.

All you Glock fans need to shoot along side like minded shooters at a GSSF match. There is a match this weekend in Richmond. You'll have a blast and have a chance to win a Glock. My friends and I are ROs so we'll see you there!

Nice, I have about 10K through my Glock 17. Gun works like a champ. Only issues I have ever had were post 8K rounds. Replaced the recoil spring and slide stop and its running like a champ again.
