I'm not volunteering for booth time just yet. But what I am doing is requesting you guys bring some XL shirts! First Rahaugees, then the show in Costa Mesa, and I can't get anyone to take my money (in exchange for some shirts)! If you don't plan on bringing any, let me know and I'll get to work to try to fill out one of the XXXLs.

Good seeing you guys at the shows.

I'm in! Costa Mesa was a lot of fun and I can't wait to help out again.

I think I'm still a Noob at this, but you can put me down for Veteran if needed.

1] Still no blue polo.

2] I wear size Large. They sent us the wrong sizes for Costa Mesa so I temporarily wore one that was way to big for me and gave it back at the end of the day. I can send money to who ever collects it ahead of time if possible, just please get a Large for me.

3] Saturday morning please.

I second the shirts idea. I would pay ahead of time to have the right size blue polo. I also loved the look of Xaviers embroidered shirt with his CalGuns screan name. I would pay extra on top of the $20 cost for an embroidered shirt with my screan name but not having it is no big deal. I can easily find a dry cleaners somewear and have that done if I want but I would be willing to donate a little extra cash say $5 to $8 to CalGuns and prefer to have the money go to fighting for our 2A rights.

The Blue polos are only available at the start of your shift at the booth.

I'm sorry the wrong sizes were sent . They were posted correctly on the thread.

Embroidery is done by you, as that is the best way to insure your satisfaction.

The 'sand' polos are for the general public and can be ordered from : gunsr4.us
.
The blue polos are chick magnets . Just look at this attachment .

Honestly, ask the poor booth guys at the Raahauges or the Costa Mesa show that I stopped and asked early and late, and on different days. Each time there was a pile of XXXL shirts and Small shirts... maybe a couple random Mediums.

Anyway, for the sake of bringing in some cash, the CalGuns booth should stock some XL shirts (I believe its the most common Men's size in the US).

I would be interested in volunteering if you still need.

I am a Newbie. I do not have a shirt. I believe the size will be Large, Womens, but may possible need an XL if the Large's shoulders are too tight.

I am good for either day or shift, but would prefer Saturday. That Sunday would be my birthday.

I'm surprised Saturday still has spots it, usually fills up first. If you're thinking about helping out stop thinking. Once it gets down to the last spot it will quickly be taken and this thread will be full of people wanting to go as back ups and almost begging to be part of the volunteer team.

The problem is most likely we won't have enough room to display more than the items on the rack
At this show we only have the 4X8 table to lay out the Cal-Gun paperwork and shirts and gear ....
Also I like to tye-wrap the items on the rack so they are safe and secure!!
Don't want a nice rifle growing feet !!!! As we get busy chating to other people at the show
Or the people that Just have to pick it up and touchy-Feely

@MrLoneWolf & EatDirt & Chickenlips;
You guys flatter me. :P Now that I have seen what it was like, I will most likely be more out of my shell next time. It was very fun, and I was exhausted by all the information I learned from not only you guys, but from the people we spoke to. That vet with the eagle shirt on was a very cool guy, no other way to describe him.

~~
This recollection of the encounter is paraphrased

As for the mag magnet lady.. Central American, She was at the table across from ours.

So she is talking to these two men, father and son couple. I was talking to retired while he was eyeing the lady at the table; we were discussing the illegality of it and how the original guy who created it now has a sign that states "Not legal in California." Retired then gets up and walks over her table while she is trying to make a sale to the two men. He starts the conversation, mentioning along the way, "Did you tell these two men that as soon as they put this object on their gun, it becomes a part of the weapon, and thus they would be committing a felony?" The father and son quickly left the table.

Retired still was going into it, stating that he was trying to save her hide as well as theirs, since anyone who bought a mag magnet from them, if arrested, would tell police who they got it from, and that would come back on her. In a very sarcastic reply, the plump woman mentions that they have spoken with their "attorneys" and have been assured it is California legal, and that she is "thankful" that retired was trying to educate her.

She later walks up to our table, saying that we have been "put on notice" and to "stay away from her table." All that did was boil my blood and make retired want to start trouble. ;) He spots two Ontario officers walking around and goes to chat with them, and after explaining the situation, they tell him that DOJ has been having an undercover field day in the convention.

So if what they are selling is illegal, they were assuredly spotted in doing so.

In addition, I cannot remember which one of our volunteers checked with the convention's help desk, but the mag magnet did not file a complaint against our table. In addition, as soon as the convention was over, they were GONE. They literally ran off quickly.

I wish I could have met Retired... and I would have loved to watch that exchange.

Her magnetic felonys and the few pieces of silver she exchanges for them are likely to give people like Yee all the ammunition they need.

And our special Guest :: Sean Casey !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well shoot if I am going to be called a special guest I need to raise my rates for making appearences! :p lol

Next show we should throw up a Mag Magnet "Felony tracker' on the forum, and every time their booth commits a felony we post to it. In the short time I was there I think I counted no less than individual 30 felonies alone.

Watching someone get arrested in the parking lot when I arrived was pretty entertaining as well. I believe he was attempting to gain entry into vehicles other than his own and got caught.

I was a very busy show during the time I was there and booth workers were doing a great job.

Ron, do you think you might be able to get a recording of your interview and if the station would allow us to use some of it? I have an idea...

Nice meeting you all! I stopped by a couple times and you were extremely friendly. I was the one guy who was telling you information about Oak Tree Gun Club. One of my stickers is on my laptop and I'm trying to find a place for the other you generously gave me on Sunday. See you at the next show!
