I am picking up my Sig SP 2022 in .40 cal. and am thinking of night sights. Are there any recommendations from the learned folks on this sight?

You should just paid the xtra 50 dollars and got the night sights. With the gun allready instead of buying them as a extra add on IMO

Nightsights are a joke. If you EVER got into a shooting at night, you are not going to have time for your skull sockets to adjust, much less have time to try and sight in. You are going to be getting rounds downrange as fast as possible, praying to the diety of your choice, that you hit something before you get hit. And the flash from the gun is going to jack your night vision up anyways. Like dude said above, get a flashlight.

The Sig Lites are pretty good. Although I agree that they are overrated, if you definitely want them sometimes Sig has special deals around certain times. For example there was a Fathers Day special not too long ago.

I just got my Sig sp2022 the other week. Haven't had a chance to shoot it until the other night out in the desert.. I was thinking about night sights also but after shooting it and seeing the huge muzzle flash I think I might just get a flashlight for it.
