Might become valuable and a collector in a few years?

There is a well known range of production with this mistake.

I think it's kinda neat. I wouldn't shoot it but make it a safe queen. You can always get another GM.

Colt just broken a CA law and made the FFL and you do the same by buying a new handgun that is not in the roster. I don't see a 5" commander model in the roster. Quick sell it to me so you won't get in trouble.

Nice pistol! Consider it a unique piece and depending how many are out there can be a collector's sought after piece. My advice is to get the mistake verified by Colt in a form of a signed letter by a Colt Mfg representative. If you can get Zilkha to sign it the better.

It's like coin collecting. It's a keeper.

It may or may not appreciate in value and it wouldn't be anytime soon. Hang on to it just because its unique. You could get Colt to give you something in writing for the future like mentioned by others.
