Or even better does anyone have experience with using one?

I have one for an sp-01 tactical in .40 s& w. Had problems with it initally, lots of fail to extract-regardless of the ammo I used (and I tried just about everything). Sent it back to CZ, with my frame. Took them six weeks to turn it around. Paper work says they tuned the extractor. Now it runs like greased lightening with any ammo. I can't get it out of my 16 yr old son's hands, and when he is using it, rapid fire is the only thing he knows.

It is a very accurate kit from our collective experiences, and seems to like ammo in the 1400 to 1550 fps range.

I have never seen one locally for sale, but don't spend a lot of time window shopping the lgs circuit.

If you get one, you will have to do a bit of filing on a pair of lugs on the front end of the slide to get it to fit into the slide grooves on your frame. No big deal, but it is some minor work.

My only real complaint is the spring in the mag-it is really stout, and with 7 or more rounds in it, you really have to grunt to get the last ones in there. I was thinking of modifying a full size maglula to help with the reloading chore, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

My brother just got his in the mail for his CZ compact and loves it. Shot off some 200rds without one failure.

It's apparently one of the more reliable .22lr conversions in ANY gun.

However, at the price of a Ruger 22/45 or MkIII, I could never justify getting it, even if it allows "cheaper practice" on the same-ish platform.

It you are at the range with a new shooter, how can they shoot the .22 while you shoot your CZ if they are the same gun?

I had one, foolishly sold it, and sorely regretted it. I searched the WTS ads here for nearly a year before one came up for sale. I snapped it up immediately and am happy every time I shoot it at the range. The only gripe is indeed the magazines - not only are the springs tough, the feed lips are very sharp! I once put a bit too much force trying to squeeze those last few rounds into the mag and sliced the ball of my thumb quite deeply. It was upsetting because I had to cut short my range visit! :(

I'm borrowing my buddies right now while I'm out of state. CZ custom is out of them at the moment. I found one at grabagun in stock and ordered it, 359 shipped. The nice thing is that if you are a CZ shooter, this will go on any CZ75 metal frame. Good luck finding one though. I got lucky they had one in stock. Otherwise watch the used parts and accessories. The kadet is available as a full gun too. Oh, it works great, my buddies run probably a few thousand rounds through his, and I've put maybe 200-300 through it with no problem.

Here's a review of the Kadet.

It's apparently one of the more reliable .22lr conversions in ANY gun.I have always heard that, and verified it when I bought my own over a year ago. It is more reliable than most .22 LR semi-auto handguns I have shot (P22, Mosquito) and even more reliable than either of my friends' 10-22 rifles (one stock, one with custom work. Both have WAY more stoppages with cheap ammo than my Kadet kit. By far). It feeds and fires the 3 brands of bulk box .22 LR I have fed it and it has fed and fired all of the nicer stuff as well. It is very accurate and the build quality is extremely good.

Here is the 25 meter test target that was in the box with my Kadet adapter. 5 shots, 25 meters. Pretty good group (1.54 inches):

I have two CZ frames, one an SP-01 frame with extensive trigger work and one a Single Action frame with some trigger work. I REALLY like being able to use my frames, that I have put time and money into customizing, for practicing with cheap ammo. Same grip, same trigger, same battery of arms, etc. Pretty legit practice at 1/5 the ammo cost.

I think one of the reasons the Kadet kit is so reliable is that CZ didn't try to make the entire slide cycle, which is how most others work. Only a small section of the slide actually moves with each shot. This means they can keep the mass down (while still using quality forged steel and not crappy pot metal like some of the semi-auto .22 LRs you can buy now) and tune it more precisely via the recoil spring.

Buy from CZ Custom. It's worth the price of entry, IMHO. Yeah, if you only have the one CZ frame then it means you don't have a second handgun. BUT... this isn't a gun which means it can be shipped right to your door and you won't have to deal with DROS and all that entails. And, again, it's REAL practice for your primary CZ.

I have one and so does my shooting buddy. They are extremely reliable and accurate. If you love your CZ 9mm and are looking for a 22 lr I suggest getting the Kadet kit. I've had mine for a long time and love it.

I have it. Love it. I ran flawlessly on all ammo when my SP-01 was stock. Since I had the competition hammer, trigger job and 13lb mainspring installed, I get light strikes about 10% of the time. I'm confident this would be remedied with the reinstallation of the stock mainspring.

Great accessory! If you want a modified Uplula mag loader for the Kadet there's a fella on the CZ Forums that sells them already done for you:

Ive heard great things about these and until recently could not locate one. I can get these through a distribution contact that I have. He has plenty of units available, and said he could work a deal if I got a group order together. If anyone is interested I can probably get them similar to CZ customs price of 355 or a little better. Shoot me a pm if your interested.
