My local FFL got a memo that they need to collect CA sales tax when they DROS a firearm that did not come from there inventory

So when you buy from Gunbroker, he has to collect the tax

Is this correct?

For PPT, does the same apply? How does one document what you actually paid for the firearm??

Is this correct? YES, THAT IS WHAT THEY ARE SAYING

For PPT, does the same apply? NO How does one document what you actually paid for the firearm?? ON PPT THERE IS NO NEED, ON Gunbroker SALES THE SELLER SHOULD PROVIDE INFO OR YOU CAN BRING IN THE AUCTION INFO

It's been like this for awhile now for all online gun sale that has to go through ffl. Just no tax on ppt.
