If that's from a Big 5 ad, I was at the one in Watsonville yesterday, and they had an H&R at that same price. I'd go with the H&R.

Yup, Big5. I have no experience with either make. Why the H&R over the Rossi? Aside from the other user here whos wouldn't fire

I've had some pretty decent experience with the H&R products and for their price they're made pretty darn well. As for Rossi, by what I've heard it's hit or miss (just what I've heard) my buddy wasn't all too impressed with his Rossi. All the H&R shotguns I've handled have gone boom every time, if you can find one for the same price as the Rossi, I'd jump on the H&R.

As a matter of fact, I went ahead and picked up another H&R today, from Big 5.
Regular price was $159, and I happened to get a 15% off coupon in email today (ALWAYS sign up for mailers from places you frequent!)
I have two other H&R shotguns, and a Buffalo Classic from them. This one will be sent to the factory to have a .357 barrel, and probably another 12GA barrel of some sort fitted.
Why over the Rossi? "Platform" compatibility, for me, and USA made. Nothing against Taurus, but if I have a choice and it's a quality piece...
