Does anybody know if the frames of the Glock 20 and 21 are the same, i.e. if you take the slide assembly, recoil spring and barrel off of a Glock 21, could you throw on a Glock 20 slide assembly, recoil spring and barrel?

For those curious to know why: I am a bit of a caliber whore. I figured that with proper slide, barrel, and recoil spring replacements, a full size Glock frame (either 20 or 21) can shoot seven or eight different calibers: .45 ACP/Super, .40 Super, .400 Corbon, 10mm, 9x25 Dillon, .40 S&W and .357 Sig... Maybe even the .45 GAP, if I were so inclined. I know this setup would be a bit of a novelty, but I am still in the "is it even possible" phase.

Exactly the same.

I don't believe that list works with the gen4s tho.. Heard they have fitting problems with older models frame/slide if swapped.

dont forget 29SF/30SF

oh, i think the extractor might need changing between some of the calibers

The ejector should be changed a well depending on what you plan to shoot.

Thank you all for your input. Good to know.

As far as the ejector, I think that all of these calibers are based on the exterior dimensions of one of two parents, the 10mm (for .40 S&W, .357 Sig, and 9x25 Dillon) or .45 ACP (for .45 Super, .400 Corbon, .40 Super). The .45 GAP is the odd-ball, and the whole purpose of the GAP was to get .45 ACP performance out of a cartridge short enough to fit into a smaller frame, so shooting in in a larger frame seems to miss the whole point of the cartridge. I figured having a slide for both the 20 and 21 would do, and I could just drop in the barrels of the proper cartridge.

Again, thanks for the info.

Right, but the two parent cartrage sizes(.45 and the 10mm) have different ejectors due to the difference in case diameter.

The 17L is the 17L. :D
The 34 is the 9mm with a 5.32" barrel.

With the Large Frame Glocks, (.45 & 10mm) they share the same frame size and ejector. The lower ends will swap over 100%. Slides and barrels are specific to each other, you can't get away with caliber swaps like you can with the 9mm & .40 slides and barrels.
