First step in making any gun safe: Remove magazine.
IMO, any gun without a removable magazine is an accident waiting to happen. Help educate the people and the politicians.

We've been hashing this over in another thread. The general consensus is that the politicians in California, in general, could care less and the antis see making ARs/AKs dangerous as a positive, makes it that much easier for an overall ban because they are unsafe (even though their moronic legislation is what made them unsafe).

That's the vexing thing about all of this, we can apply all of the logic and common sense that we want but the antis have shown their cards, they REALLY only want total disarmament, SB249 is just a tiny portion of that strategy. They could care less about our safety, as a matter a fact, more accidents stemming from ARs/AKs would just allow them to strengthen their case at how dangerous these weapons are and that nobody should be allowed to have them.

Strategically, the situation is akin to the German Jews in 1935 trying to negotiate, use logic and reason with the brown shirts, in the end didn't matter what they said, did it? There was a master plan already in place and the National Socialists were just slowly making that plan come true.

Lets be real here. Removable magazines are, "first and foremost", to facilitate faster reloads.

Without a removable magazine most guns are in fact hazardous. But let's get even more real. We're going to need any help we can get on this issue, as the enemies of our rights will stop at nothing, and are not interested in any truth. Don't give them any "ammo".
