I was there two weeks ago and nothing seemed odd. Maybe you have an old/wrong phone number?

Finally got through. They were on the phone and that was it. Looks like they have no voicemail system. That, and a 2-3 month wait on work.

They're overpriced anyways. Everything in there is 15-25% higher than everywhere else. They quoted me $75 to put a rear sight in my 1911 a couple years back.

Need to find a 'smith that has no work. Then you can get your stuff more quickly.

What kind of work are you looking to get done?

Its the smiths that don't have a wait time you need to worry about.

Visit Ray, the resident smith at Iron Sights. Ray's on site, in a back room, on Monday afternoons until closing (10:00 P.M.).

If he's not swamped, he'll change yer sights while you wait. Then you can test fire at the range and go back for adjustments, if needed.

The LAST thing you need is a gunsmith with no work so you can get your work done faster/cheaper---there is a REASON why that gunsmith has no work...

Yup. I couldn't charge someone to do that work... It's just not ethical...

So when can I come up to CBad so you can do my trigger kit for free? :D

Seriously, I would not feel comfortable diving into a gun for the first time by myself.
