What a problem to have right? I really want an 870 Tactical since I don't have a pump shotgun yet, but I also really want the SR22 since you can't go wrong with a cool little .22 whicj seems more fun than my NEOS.

SR22, but I'm heavily biased in that I love 22 plinkers, and while I love pump shotguns in a long barreled hunting style, I've no desire at this point in time to own a tactical style shotgun. You seem to want both, and can't afford both right now (not at all meant to be a put-down, I'm in the $ame boat right now), so if you shoot a lot like I do, start with the SR22 because you'll be able to afford shooting it much more from an ammo/cost perspective. After you get your SR22, start a savings plan for your 870 and try to buy it with a given timeframe/goal you set for yourself. I wish I could follow my own advice... SOOOOOOOOO many new guns I wanna buy, so little money...

Get the 870. It is a much better HD weapon, and with an easy barrel change (and tube plugged to 3 rounds) it can be used to hunt just about anything in the state. From boar & deer (with a rifled barrel and sabot slugs) to goose & upland birds (with standard shot and a longer barrel).

The .22 is useful for mainly plinking and hunting rabbits and squirrels.

Plus at Big 5 the 870 is usually around $100 cheaper than the .22. You can put the difference into either spare barrels or ammo.

You need both. I guess no 590 for you.

both. :D.. honestly. 22 pistol. Its cheap and you hit everything! You have a saiga shotgun already that can hold you off til you get the 870. those things are cheap anyways. you can always pick one up whenever. the pistols pretty hard to find.

None. Plastic, MIM parts aren't my cup of tea.

If you already have a shotgun or 9mm+ handgun for SD, just get a .22 for fun.

It'll save you a lot in ammo and you can have a good time with it.

If you go with the 870, pick up the Federal Tactical #1 buck w/ Flight control wad. If it functions in your gun, it's a GREAT round. I use 00buck because I have a ton of it, but would switch to this round over time.
