I haven't taken a pic of it yet, but I stole this one off the internet. It's pretty much the same exact model I have.

Can anyone tell me anything about these? It looks like it will be a fun little plinker, especially since I got it for free.

Great little plinker. Got one a long time ago. Got rid of it for SA plinkers.

It's made by Winchester and is a variation of their Model 250.

Thats the lever action version of the Sears Model 3T which I have one made by Winchester. I can hit quarter size target with it at 50 yards all day, damn very accurate rifle. I presume that the scope is the original Tad Williams 4x scope.

They hold quite a few, about 16 if I remember.

My first rifle was a Winchester Model 250 I received back in 1969 if I"m not mistaken for my 12th birthday. It's on the gun rack near me :)

As with any firearm, and especially tubular magazine fed ones, be sure to do a visual chamber check to verify the firearm is actually empty. Weak follower springs can cause problems with intermittent feeding. Also muzzle-sweeping is easier to do while re-loading so watch out for that. For fast reloads you can get a Spee-D-Loader.

Damn...forgot about this thread! Actually, it's a Kmart brand scope. I had no idea that Kmart was in the optics game at some point.

I'm not sure. I've yet to take it apart, clean it, and get out to the range. My rifle cleaning rod snapped somehow, so I need to get a new one.

I love department store brand guns - relics from a different time.

Good stuff.
