I have two openings for a hog hunt in King City with guide Nessen Schmidt next Saturday 8/11. I had some last minute cancelations and would like to fill the spots. I also have the lodge reserved for 8/10,11 if you would like to stay on the ranch. Rooms are $65 per night. Please contact me ASAP if you are interested. Here is a link to his guide service.

I used this service about 4-5 years ago, they were prompt, had access to private ranches, and the place was crawling with hogs from piglets to big tuskers.

There were 3 of us hunting, everyone got a pig, the biggest was a giant sow, the smallest were my two, both about 150 lbs. We saw WAY more than the 4 we took.

We didn't stay at the lodge, but the guide service was outstanding, and the butcher they recommended was great as well.

I can't make this but highly recommend the outfit.

If I wasn't doing the deer opener I would probably jump on this. Bad timing!

Nessen was highly recommended by friends that have used his services in the past. There was a women on the cover of Western Outdoors Newspaper last week that shot a huge sow he guided her on. Hopefully someone can take advantage of a short notice hunt. He is usually booked several months in advance. I booked this hunt in March.

I would but the timing is too short (i.e. right before payday). LoL. Good luck.

Yes. You might see if he will workout some price break if you want multiple pigs. Trophy pigs are $775 according to his website. I paid the deposits so you would owe me $100 and that comes off the price of the pig of your choice. You should checkout his website. It can answer most of you questions. If you are really interested I need to know by tomorrow mid morning. You can call me at 714 916-3456

Jeff

PS: you need to use condor proof ammo ( copper only )

King City high this weekend 87, Low 58. Sounds pleasant to me. The pigs cost $575 which is about the going rates that I've checked. The trophies hogzillas are $775. Taking your son on his first hog hunt.....priceless!!
Lessen learned. Make your friends pay their own deposits. I'll post up the results after.

Was in king city yesterday. 105 degrees. The town of king city is in the valley which is much cooler. Go over one hill and into bitterwater valley and it's 105.

$575 is a prevailing rate, I paid $500 and change probably 4 years ago. They have access to ranches that the public cannot hunt, and we saw dozens of hogs.

Don't sweat the temp, we started out before dawn, and we rode in a 4x4 Rhino type vehicle, dismounting to shoot and some walking, but it's not a hike. The hills are steep though.

I'd pay $700 for e tusker I could hang on my office wall. But that's just me.
