Asking for a member on another board.

Checked the flowchart and the list, had Law Enforcement 6920 on there, but the PD on the end of the marking he sent me is throwing me off.

I'd not own one.

"Colt Law Enforcement (6920)" is too close to LE6920PD.

Easy for a judge to say "That's what they really meant."

You might be able to defend that into an AB2728 nuisance/surrender resolution.

Bill, what about all the Rifles Colt is marketing as California compliant? Looking on their web page they all end in CA in their model number. Such as LE6920CA.

If i recall the 6920 and 6940 do not have the model # on the receiver. It was the factory configuration. I do not know if the new models are different

That's the problem with the Roberti-Roos and Kasler lists when it comes to the Harrott decision. People looked at print Magazines, Marketing guides, and Catalogs to make the lists. Not what was on the outside of the firearms in question. So how is an Officer in the field to determine what Make/Model the firearm in his hands really is? :TFH:

Saw one sold/purchased while I was at a local dealer's shop the other day. The model number is LE6920PDCA ("CA" depicting California compliant). From what I understand, there was an overrun on an order for the LAPD. This dealer picked up quite a few of them and said they have been selling well. I'm guessing other dealers have them as well.

The new Colt California Rifles are marked different than the "Colt Law Enforcement (6920)" that is banned. The banned LE6920 is made by Colt Defense, verses the new CA models that are built by Colt Mfg. The Colt CA compliant rifles are marked "M4 Carbine" with a bullet button installed at factory. A friend from Calguns told me that Colt customer service told him, that their attorney's looked at CA laws, and then instructed Colt Mfg to configure their rifles for CA the way you see it on their website.

Prior to the new marked rifles being made for CA, Colt's "Law Enforcement 6940" was legal in CA, although considered risky by some.

Off the 6920 I just broke out of jail. Obviously just the "M4 Carbine"as the model "number".
