I'm a noob to CG and Shasta county...... be nice now. :)
Are there ANY indepth and accurate publications or posts on the bodies of fishable waters in Shasta county? DFG site has a great layout but is sadly short of info. Everything else I have checked either guesses or just covers the easy-to-get-to places.
Ideas anyone?

My dad lives up there. He had the same issue when he started fishing Shasta county. He ended up hooking up with a local and he showed him the ropes.

Try asking at the Fly Shop on Churn Creek, and maybe Old West on Market St.

I know you can catch bass in the ponds at Anderson River Park. And Lake Shasta I good if you have access to a boat.

Mostly I think you'll either have to make friends or put in the time to find yourself some nice spots, sorry I can't be more help but my brother is the fisherman and he'd kill me if I gave away his spots.
