View Full Version : Is MFS corrosive? Can't find a straight answer!

Picked up a few boxes of MFS 7.62x39 at big 5 just for the heck of it and it was in sale, this stuff is zinc played steel, soft point. Is it corrosive or not?

no. and you can't use it at field time indoor range because of bi-metal or steel core. -just fyi
great for shooting in the desert though.

Ok good to know, my range is outdoor they don't care weather it's steel or brass just so long as you arnt shooting any crazy explosive rounds lol

Also, look for the brass MFS in 7.62x39. Sometimes you can catch it on sale at, for example, Cabela's. It is Boxer/brass and thus reloadable.
