View Full Version : Kidd "Trigger Job" vs brimstone tier 1 Trigger

I see this to be a over beaten topic. But basically as everyone is trying to achieve a smooth, crisp, lighter, and less travel from a 10/22.
This leads me to compare the Brimstone Gunsmithing services Tier 1. $110
to the KIDD "Trigger Job" $89 shipped
I have heard great things about both of these. It appears the Brimstone service and communication is second to none.
On The flip side, KIDD setups are quality pieces.
Shooting 36gr federal match and this is strictly a bench setup. Looking for 2+- lbs pull.
If anyone have experiance with both of these setups or can suggest another option all opinions are very much appreciated.

I have a few kidd parts on my 10/22. The fit and finish is far and above everyone else. A friend of mine has a complete kidd 10/22, the trigger group on that rifle is amazing. If the trigger job kit feels anything like the 2 stage trigger i would buy it.

People swear by Brimstone Gunsmithing, but the KIDD trigger job is good to go as well. That's what I'm planning on next.
If you are comfortable with installing yourself, go with the KIDD. Adjustable as well.

Oh you guys aren't making this any easier ha. I do thank everyone for the thoughts, but can't make up my mind. I think I will call both and let them sell me their products or services. I need to make this a poll

I've been going back and fourth as well. I get my 10/22 on the 7th so I'll got take it out and shoot it for a day and try and make a decision. Does anybody the turn around time with Brimstone?
I think you'll be fine with either one. I think if you ever plan on selling it, the Kidd will give you a better resale value.
other than that, you're GTG with either.

Does anybody know the turn around time with Brimstone?
Spoke with Brimstone today, turn around is three weeks. He was a pleasure to talk with and explained in detail each and every thing

I will be going with the KIDD kit. Spoke with Shalee and another lady and I will try the KIDD kit first and possible send it off to Brimstone if other adjustments are needed.

I have a Kidd Barrel and Charging Handle. I had a stage 2 trigger job done by Brimstone and it turned out really nice about 2.3lbs. I heard one problem with the Kidd is that only works well with the polymer housing.
No matter what you can't go wrong. Both are great.

Well have now spent some time with the KIDD Trigger Job. I can say now i would certainly suggest to anyone the KIDD products. I am very pleased. Fit and finish down to the most important fuction are a huge improvement over the stock setup. Lastly to top it off, customer service was spot on and quite friendly
+1 for KIDD

How long did it take for the Kidd kit to come in?

Less than a week to the door

I'd buck up the $289, and get the KIDD 2 stage trigger. Best trigger I think I've ever felt with the exception of a match airgun.
