SOLD!

I have an old turkish mauser, production date 1943, K.KALE edition. It's mixed parts, I was originally planning to use it for a project sportster, but I've got other projects to finish, and this one became kind of forgotten. The unit is a century arms import, and has century serial #s engraved in the unit on the receiver and barrel

To be blunt and honest about it, not sure what it's worth, but here's what's wrong with it:

-needs to be properly reblued
-needs new firing pin spring. right now it'll put a nice dent into the primer half the time, the other half it'll fire. you can get new springs here: http://www.tngunparts.com/mauser.htm

More info on the mauser here: http://www.turkmauser.com

I am in East Bay, Norcal

It's over 50 years old, so you don't have to go through a dealer. You can check Gunbroker.com for a comparable gun price (check the ones that have bids).

Yea, C&R weapons can be transferred FTF without any licenses or FFL's involved.

Ah ok, cool. So I can just write up a bill of sale with the serial # to keep for my records in case I need to cover my butt, right?

Also, I have about 50-80 rounds of milsurp turkish and egyptian ammo to go with it, production dates 1946 and 1953.

I would write down the buyers Name, drivers license number and date of birth (or photo copying the drivers license is easier).

Would you give your name, dl number and address to basically a complete stranger that now knows you are interested in guns and probably have others? Good deal though on this rifle, I'm sure it will sell quickly.

well, if you think about it, I'd be more worried than the person buying - the last legal registration on the firearm would point to me. :)
