Has anybody heard of the guns found buried in Fresno where a tire shop on Kings Canyon was being built? The story was enough for two pickup trucks to be filled. I had not heard of the condition of the guns. What I had heard is fire was called to help remove them. I had heard they were ar-15 and AK-47s.

Wasn't there a thread on ARF or maybe here, years ago, about a guy who buried a bunch of somethings, then he went back and there was a huge berm or something over top of his stash?

I'm sure I remember reading a mega thread, I was never sure if it was legit.

heh

Guy I used to know, he lived in Texas. He and a buddy were screwing around out in the desert one day, and I don't know what they were digging for ... but what they found was a couple of shipping containers full of WWII / Korea surplus. Garands, 1911's, M1 / M2 / M3 carbines, Grease Guns, 1919's, Bazookas, mortars, and even a wheeled AT gun. One container was just ammo for everything.

If it was me who found them, there's no way any media outlet, PD, or online forum would ever know about it.

No, but I'll bet there were some cartel pukes that were mighty pissed at some point ...

Not sure whatever happened to the stash in general.

My bodyshop found a big bag of guns behind the shop.. it was durring the BIG fire near Escondido a few years back.

In the bags were a couple AKs.. an AR.. two glocks and a bunch of gear and ammo..

Obviously someone chucked them off the side of the freeway when they were doing evacuations for the fire.. not sure why.

I found out after they called the cops to come get them..

I would have stripped them down of parts and the cops could of had the parts with serial numbers.. lol

I cried a little bit.. :(

I'm sure if PCH were still on here, he'd start a thread claiming to be the one that dug 'em up & asking how much he should sell them for in the "Marketplace" section.

Still nothing anywhere about this. I do recall the USA gas station just closing for no reason then a week later 911. The guys inside we're not real friendly for sure. The gas station is very close to this area and at the time there was not much else out there. Any ideas why this could get hushed?
