You have to get a police scanner. ;) If anyone has a link or more/other info that would be great!

This weekend in the apartments on Stevenson and Fremont Blvd.

A passerby noticed a man in his dwelling holding an AK47. This great citizen called the police which responded with two SWAT teams. They began evacuating residents and raided his dwelling. Firetrucks, SWAT, police cars, etc.

They had him at gunpoint and searched him and his dwelling.

The guns were not illegal. They were airsoft.

This is why I always shut my blinds when I'm working on guns.

Unless the guy was pointing it out the window screaming "You live!, You die!, The streets shall flow with the blood of the non believers!"

I don't see how its anyones buisness what he does in his own home.

There should be a way to SUE that "great citizen", right?

Even if it IS a real AK47..... it can WELL be a registered AW.... (would they have checked the DOJ AW database before raiding the place??)

If he was screaming that, the ACLU and CAIR would be there defending them. The SWAT would be overun by protesters...

You should save those sweaters as "commemoratives" :)

Wow..that's around my neck of the woods. Funny but I didn't see anything this past weekend. Can't imagine how they would react if they saw my dressed up AR!

This weekend in the apartments on Stevenson and Fremont Blvd.Hey, that could be our very own Franksremote. Don't know if he owns an AK, but if it's him, they're also going to find about 3 tons of powder and 26,000 primers and bullets in his apartment too. Which definitely qualifies as an aresenal, and is sure to make the evening news.

Damn! No more super smooth group buys in the San Ho area, I guess... ;)

I don't have anymore details. This was all from the police scanner.

If anyone can find a link to a story it would be great.

The DOJ should do their JOB and educate the average citizen about legality of firearms!!!! Couldn't they atleast put together a Public Service Announcement.:chris:

I'm not too sure we want the DOJ doing any more education for us.:90:
I'd prefer less "we gotta get ALL them evil guns off the streets!" attitude and more "Protect & Serve" outta the LEO brass. There is no reason for a massive tactical response for simply posessing a firearm. The newspapers don't help either, they report a few rounds of ammo that the cops find legally owned as "a chache of AW ammunition" and other crap like that. People now think that responses like what happened at proraptor's ugly sweater party are keeping them safe. What a crock!

Which is why my happy @ss is off to Arizona come Friday, open carry til the CCW time kicks in (90 days) and I can buy and sell any gun I'd like. Might even look into getting some Class 3 stuff as they sell it over the counter ;)

Oh yea, I was this close to buying one of your AK BB's and decided to make it myself, now I dont have to:p:D.

Have a great Kenpo day

It's amazing how fast and completely they can get some Airsofter, but when gang members are running rampant and setting people on fire in the middle of the street, it takes 2 hours for them to get there.

if he was in san francisco he would have been charged with muni code 602 since airsoft is illegal here, i know since i was charged and i posted my paperwork in an earlier post
