How easy is the process? Can I purchase a Single action Colt Scout on GunBroker from someone in Texas and have them ship it to a FFL dealer in California?.

Has anyone benefited from a SSE? What did you purchase? Can I also purchase a non roster Nickel Colt Python using a SSE? Is there a limit to amount of pistols you purchase using the SSE?

Single action revolvers with 3" barrels and overall length of 7.5" are exempt from the roster.
If the Colt Python can be made single action, it can be imported.

You dont need SSE. DOJ has what is called a single action revolver exemption. Single action revolvers are exempt. You can verify this with your FFL.

Has anyone used the SSE? What did you purchase and how difficult was the process?

Limcat .40cal limited-10

Very easy.

The long barrel they install is a little odd, but it's not there long.

Thanks for the advice. I first need to start with a Gun shop thats willing to both do the work and accept the out of state purchase. Im going to give it a try. Been looking for a Nickel 6inch Colt Python. Impossible to find in California. I going to start with a revolver and maybe move over to a Semi-auto next. Thanks again

SSE was ez money for me. Bought a Sig Scorpion and XDM45. Not much more to it than buying a regular gun.
