What's a good number of Lumens for a flashlight on an HD pistol? The average I am seeing seems to be in the 120 - 150 Lumens range, but I don't know how that translates IRL. Help is appreciated!

Any LED on that range that you mentioned should be good enough. Surefire & Streamlight are teo major brands with great reputations.

It's my understanding that theres no standard of mesure for lumens that all manufacturers have agreed to. All I know is my Streamlight Polytac HP claims 150 lumens and its VERY bright when used indoors and has lots of throw (distance) when used outdoors. I can light-up stuff 80 yards away with it. Not bad for a two cell light. Lots of lights out there that claim crazy-high lumens (250+) but I don't know how accurate they are. Good luck.

Cool, I'm gonna pick one up for a good price that's 120 lumens. I'll post reviews on how it looks/works.

Got the light and wow! It's not a Surefire or a Streamlight but this thing is freaking awesome. Super bright! If anyone is interested in the full specs, it's eBay Item number: 320909769588. I have no affiliation with the seller, and derive no benefit from anyone looking at or buying the seller's items. I'm just posting where I got it.
