"This bill would permit the department and the commission to contract for consultants to assist in the preparation of the strategic plan."

Consultants from where? HSUS? PETA? Can Calguns get a consultant contract with the DFG and Commision?

"This bill would state the intent of the Legislature, to extend the conservation benefits derived from investments made as part of compensatory mitigation to public lands, that the department work with the Bureau of Land Management and interested stakeholders to develop a viable solution that will ensure durable mitigation and protection of mitigation lands on federal lands in perpetuity."

Taking away public land...

This bill would rename the department the Department of Fish and Wildlife Conservation, and would make related changes.
Renaming the "Dept of Fish and Game" to a more friendly sounding "Dept of Fish and Wildlife Conservation" seeing as game is something only hunters enjoy and wildlife being seomthing for everyone to enjoy?

The bill would require the department to adjust the amount of the fees for scientific collecting permits as necessary, to fully recover, but not exceed, all reasonable administrative and implementation costs of the department and the commission relating to those permits.

Drastically increase the prices of all our license's.

This bill would require the department to maintain a statewide electronic system to manage citations issued by fish and game wardens, to the extent feasible, as prescribed.

Spend a ton of money the state doesn't have. Oh, wait that'll be paid for by increasing our license fees....

The bill, commencing January 1, 2015, would require the purchase of an entry permit, as specified, for access to department-managed lands for uses other than hunting and fishing, except as provided. The bill would make the failure to obtain a permit an infraction, as specified.

Make us pay to use our "public lands"?
