read a yahoo news story and part of it, is about the ATF and FBI both trying to do a sting at a gunshow.
"_ATF agents working an undercover sting at a Las Vegas gun show arrested a suspect for illegally buying firearms. The buyer turned out to be an informant working for the FBI — even though the ATF had taken steps to make sure there would be no overlap between federal agencies."
Do "gangbangers" and criminals really buy their guns from gunshows through straw-purchases, or does the DOJ just not get it? I think they just don't get it

Who knows. There have been reports where criminals do try to buy guns from gun stores but im 100% sure that if they wanted a gun they woudl get one legal or not. Hell as long as you have the $$ someone will be willing to take the risk to sell you whatever you want. I mean if you can buy a tank or RPG or Stinger whats a piddly ar15 or Ak gonna matter.

thats true as long as criminals have $$$ they basically can get whatever they want.why would they go through the trouble of getting a legit firearm anyways?theyre not using them for law abiding purposes anyhow.

Not worried at all. I'm not there to do anything illegal at all. So if someone wants to sell me something "fishy", I'll smile, thank them & move on to the nearest LEO. "Hey officer, this guy is trying to sell me this & that, blah! blah! Is that legal?":D:D
If it sounds too good to be true, always refer to the nearest friendly LEO. Iggy, for example.....:D

As I understand it, the main reason - we all have to pay for 2nd day shipping now for guns... is that UPS - kept finding that anything that contained a "gun" was *ahem* falling off the back of the truck - somewhere, between the manufacturer and the wholesaler, or the wholesaler and the retailer... when being shipped "ground".
Talking with a local gun shop, he personally mentioned in the Silicon Valley area, he knows of over 200 guns that went "missing" during shipment.
Gee... I wonder how the bad guys get their guns...

 wow I'm glad my .50 BMG awhile back didn't "fall of the truck" I'm surprised with all the other possibly expensive packages (jewerly, electronics, artifacts, etc.) that UPS carry, they don't make improvements in security.
