This is on the front of calgusn.net and there is no link as to how we can help.

There are several threads in the 2nd Amendment forum that have all the ways you can help out. The Ultimate SB249 thread in the first page has many ways to help. Do a search and you will get all the threads. :D

I think he is referring to less familiar or new people who might not dig as deep as the rest of us.

Maybe someone new who is only here because of searching SB249. At least there could be a link under the slogan on the front page.

I wish there was more about 2A rights on these buttons, etc. The average person I talk to doesn't even know what SB249 is. But most know what 2A is. Just my $.02

I've been saying the same thing :-/ More links everywhere!

Frankly the reason it's not linked to anything is I need to recode it and have not had a chance to sit down and do it.

Between issues at work and family matters I've been limited to mostly iPhone or tablet time recently, neither one of which is useful fro redoing the front page.

Sorry to burst some people's daydream that CGN is a 'closet Yee supporter' but real life has it's effect.

Just to make it clear for those who like to play with hyperbole and spin, SB249 sucks out loud and needs to be killed, that is why CGN has paid for and C3 volunteers are distributing thousands of flyers to gun stores, ranges and such all over So Call and is moving the effort up to Nor Cal.

When I can get a chance it will be updated to a link.

I'm not sure what vB needs but the html could be as simple as:

<a href="www.stopsb249.org"><img style="border: 0px solid ; width: 600px; height: 219px;" alt="STOP SB 249!" src="http://stopsb249.org/wp-content/themes/canvas/functions/thumb.php?src=wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Slides_Action.png&amp;w=600&amp;h=219&amp;zc=1&amp;q=90"></a>

and/or

In the meantime, CALGUNS C3 has a few thousand flyers that could be passed out at gun shows and gun shops and such, for those motivated to the effort you can send me a PM for flyers to distribute.

Thanks for the reminder Jacob, much appreciated.

I think the question here is why, almost a month into the effort, there is not even a single working link to the campaign on CGN. Plenty in the posts but something prominent on the site itself?

Not. Even. One. Lousy. Link.

You mean other then the 13 links/stickies in 13 sub forums and the Heading Link that was up but removed a week after the vote passed the first committee, the email blast sent out by CGN and other related task CGN has either hosted or paid for?

I finally noticed the poll in the Community Chapters, the wording of the answers is a bit choppy or mismatched, what's it take to alter the poll options slightly (specifically the second option intended to be 'no')?You mean other then the 13 links/stickies in 13 sub forums and the Heading Link that was up but removed a week after the vote passed the first committee, the email blast sent out by CGN and other related task CGN has either hosted or paid for?

Zebra, I think Paul answered your question above. Basically, he's been stuck only being able to access CGN from his iPad (I guess for about a month now, since StopSB249 launched) and none of the moderators are able to do basic HTML coding or operate vBulletin, is what I gather. Maybe we could help find some tech oriented people to help Paul.

What about making a link on the CGN home page or maybe even an alert sign at the top of the CGN forum, where people would actually see it?

Sen. Yee's CBS 5 interview should clear up this confusion... Something about maps? :43:

Dear Sen. Yee

I will allow you to take away my bullet button when you do your job. Fix all the freeways and public road. Fix the failing education system in California. Bring more jobs to California. Fix theses three thing then come back to us.

Dear Sen. Yee

I will allow you to take away my bullet button when you do your job. Fix all the freeways and public road. Fix the failing education system in California. Bring more jobs to California. Fix theses three thing then come back to us.

1. Yee is termed out in 30 months.
2. Interstate highways and US highways are federal. He's a California senate senator, not a god or dictator.
3. Government has very little control on hiring in the private sector.

I would rather we say:

You can take the bullet button, if you can speak coherently and give a logical and realistic reason to get rid of it. Not some fear mongering fear of the improbable. I know you can't so here we are. Yee, I am not lying down, go pick on something else to lose in.

Looks like a minor text editing issue on the forum home page's header bar, opens a botched link in a new tab/window as "http://www.stopsb249.org%20target%3D/" but should be "http://www.stopsb249.org%20target%3D/".

SB249 is just another example of how CA gun laws are based for the most part on what legislators see on TV instead of reality. I mean, look at the law regarding suppressors - who refers to a suppressor as a "SILENCER" except people who's only research and knowledge on the matter comes from hollywood?

Leland Yee says it himself -

“The reason why I am committed to this particular bill is because of what I saw on your TV station, the story that you did,” Yee told CBS 5.

Seriously, WHO DOES THAT?

Not trying to start a political argument here but; " #3) Gov't has very little control over hiring in the private sector"... If Obama wins again there will be even less hiring in the private sector than there is now. He's going to increase taxes on Corporations/Small Businesses which will cut hiring. All the rules & regulations his put on businesses has decreased hiring. Google 'Keystone Pipeline', 20,000 jobs for a several years long project for a pipeline running from Canada to Texas & he shut it down. And he's doing this when our country is in dire need of jobs. His policies are forcing companies to not hire & he doesn't care cuz he wants to create an 'Entitlement Society' where everyone is dependant on the Gov't. And look at Calif where businesses are leaving the state left & right. So many more Gov't rules & reg's here that Companies leave. And if there not here, they can't hire...
