Hi all, not been up there for fly fishing. Any general pointers?

Would be up there toward the end of July. Ideally, we want to self guide and wade fish.

Cheers!

Some serious white water on the Rouge! lower Rouge is awesome but permitted use only if boating. Great hiking trail stretches most of the lower as well. Zane Grey's cabin is nice, also a great series of lodges can be booked for lush accommodations. Fast moving river.

Stop at Gold Hill, rent a Durt Bag (if they're still there), drift to "the riffles". fish for trout just down stream from there. Or, take the blackwell road exit off 5 outside of central point, Go to the red bar about 2 miles down.Turn right at Gold Ray rd. Go down till the river is right next to you. Fish 100yrds or so from the dam. Best salmon and trout fishing in the area. Avoid the bar.
