(Sorry in advance if this has been posted before. I haven't seen it yet.)

EDIT: Oooops, I just found a similar post down lower on the threads list. Sorry for being redundant.

It has; Don't freak, There's a whole thread (http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=592388&highlight=UN+treaty) on it. Back in a sec.

The gist is that every country has to agree before it's ratified, and there are a few involved who don't want that kind of control imposed. There is a lot of FUD/hype in the article from the look of it, and I expect more out of Fox.

There has got to be a way to prevent threads with "arms treaty" in the title from getting posted. This is getting more out of hand than usual.

You've got Dick Morris routinely saying that the treaty is a threat. He says it will be implemented even if not ratified.

His analysis is interesting. Mostly because there have been treaties which were effectively implemented by presidential fiat even though they had not been ratified.

In this case, however, it really comes down to beating Obama. If Obama is re-elected the oppression will soon become apparent whether or not there is a UN small arms treaty.

If Romney wins it is likely that even if the treaty were successfully negotiated that it would not be implemented. Not likely to be ratified.

The key is to beat Obama.

Uum, yeah - you (zhyla) have the right to ignore and not read such threads.

Clearly though, it would seem that you wish to squash the rights of others to post what they wish.

Interesting.

This is a privately owned forum. You have no rights here. You post at the pleasure of the owner.

As gun rights enthusiasts we would hope that the people who post, would at least do a check on page 1 to avoid duplicating an ongoing thread. Its called a courtesy to the forum.
