I tried to order some metal targets from Targetsfromus. They have informed me that "I cannot ship to you because it would be against the law". All I am purchasing is metal knock down plates. I live in contra costa county, specifically danville. I don't buy that it is illegal. so please set me straight my legal eagles. Thanks in advance.

I'd start looking for a new vendor.

You might ask them what law they think might apply; I can't think of one in Penal Code.

Interesting. I live in concord, and purchased 3 of their 'Jack/ Caltrop' flipping pistol targets.

They shipped to my door.

EDIT: I see they have been removed from the Calguns vendors list also.

Lame. Lose'm. I suggest Bobcat steel, a CalGuns vender. Great product, great service, great price.

Good luck.

I bought a generic 3/8" steel plate from Pleasanton Steel (based on Livermore, actually) for $20. About 18" x 18". Worked like a champ with my .22. My buddies AR went right through it though :). He was shooting 855.

I bought AR500 from Bobcat, 3/8". Shooting 855 with steel core at 100 yards, hardly even dimpled the plate. Good stuff :D
