************DEAL PENDING, thanks for all the interest!*************

This is one of the sweetest rifles I have owned. Selling because it sits in my safe, and it should go to a home that will feed her well!

Here's your chance to get a near new Robinsons Armament M96 in .223. This has a rare HEAVY, fluted bbl and OD green stock and forend. It does not come with a pistol grip, so it is CA legal, and also comes with a copy from Robinsons Armament of a DOJ letter stating it is not an AW.

This rifle has a chrome lined bbl, front sight and top trail for mounting optics of your choice. This is one beautiful rifle! I had the upgrades performed by RA about 6 weeks ago, so this rifle is 100% ready to go! The receiver on this is made of stainless steel, and it has a quick-change barrel system, and is piston driven like an AK, with adjustable gas like the FAL.

Barrel is 18". Pics up...

$1,450 (**********deal pending****************)

FTF only, rifle located in OC. I believe Ade's will do the transfer, since I have the DOJ paperwork to show legality, but this will need to be confirmed. If not, there is another dealer in LA we can transfer at.

PM me if you are interested. I'll consider partial trades on any factory assembled Flat-top (A3, A4) upper by LMT, RRA or Bushmaster. Looking for 16" M4, 20" HBAR or 24" varmit.

Handguard is OD, even though the pics don't show it well...MUCH nicer in person.

Just go to the desert and shoot it :-P when the cops come close put it away :P no worries about that then now. and when zombies come you get to slap a pistol grip on it :D and make it a zombie exterminator. :D

:-( I wish I have money for this... something about being a poor college student sucks...

I wouldn't worry about the stud on the lower.Sometime ago the DOJ seized a bunch of M96s,then made the determination that they were not AWs and had to return the seized rifles. This is about as safe an off list rifle as there is.

No, the DOJ ruled the M96 was OK in this configuration, even when some overzealous DOJ reps confiscated them from a few law-abiding owners. Not only were those DOJ reps forced to return the rifles to the owners, but Bill Lockyer issued an apology on the matter, that I believe still exists on the DOJ website to this day. If not, copies of it have been posted here, even by myself, many times.

The DOJ has given written confirmation that they do [B]NOT/B] see this nub "construed/defined" as a pistol grip and the premise that was used to confiscate them of "capacity to accept a pistol grip" did NOT apply. There is a long trail of paper confirming the above, and some of it is posted on Robinson Armament's website as a PDF. DOJ approval letters and some of the most documented letters pertaining to any rifle set up this way, ISthe M96.

And NO 58 DA warning or concessions either!

There has been a lot of discussion on Calguns with many pressing personal opinion about definitions of pistol grips, cutting off AR grips at the trigger guard, webs of hands and where they go, etc., all construing and defining due to misunderstanding.

Make no mistake, there is no misundertanding about the M96 - the nub is NOT a pistol grip.
