I was looking at the latest version and I don't really see how it affects BB's or featureless? I see how it would pertain to the magnetic bullet button thingies that would really just turn your rifle into a AW but maybe I'm reading it wrong.

Damn laws written by damn loonies

its not law. it just goes to the next round of voting.

I will be shooting all my bb equipped rifles on the 4th of july.

Does this mean we can blame everyone in CA with a bullet buttoned/featureless AR for causing this law to come into effect? I mean...there are many that hold open carriers accountable for that law. Using that logic, you are all guilty! THANKS ALOT!

The issue would be the idiots with the mag magnets(who were already breaking the law in the first place, including the people who ran that news report if it was filmed in CA).

Do I really have to point out that with a quick search of this forum it's very easy to see just how many times people have repeatedly stated those things were asking for a problem to start?

Remember if it doesnt get overturned, the law won't come into effect for 1 year from now!

So those who own mag magnets prior to the law being enacted should be able to register those AW conversion devices :D, a new chance to register your firearm(s) as AW! :D

Solidsnake87

If they open up registration (unlikely), I'm doing it!

so if this does pass in the future stages, does it ban bb rifles or just those mag magnet things.

I am looking forward to having a RAW

I prefer it to be COOKED!

I believe with SB 249 passing today it just means that it'll make it to the stage stage, whatever that is. I do think that if the sheeple of Californians are going to vote on it we'll be so screwed.

In practice we can probably grandfather in our existing ARs and AKs. Now going forward we'll just have to sell for Mini 14/30 LOL

Based on comments around the forum about the actual hearing this morning, Yee was aiming at the MagMagnet. However, it is not worded very clearly which leaves it "open for interpretation" (not a good thing IMO if you are being suspected of breaking that law) and it is just another gun control law that is not going to do any good for anyone but the person who wrote it if it passes.

Lol. Nice edit. You'll notice by several comments that your thread did need to be critiqued. Don't feel bad you were not the only 1 I was referring to. To answer your question, the same thing you should have been doing before the vote in the committee. You do that each step until we win, they win, or time runs out.

So whats next after it finalized? We turn over all our bb rifles?

Arisaka
07-03-2012, 12:08 PM
They can shove their "registration" directly up their pee holes. I don't think allowing all of our rifles to become RAWs is an upgrade from the current situation. I'd rather have a BB equipped rifle than be on some list for them to come and confiscate at a later date. Geez...

I'll never turn over my rifles. Neither should any other Californian. If it passes I'm looking to a good friend out state for a favor and to reserve a spot in his safe.

So, as I understand, the CA law states... If I were stupid enough to to defend myself in CA with an automatic weapon should Yee have his way, I would need to run to my gun safe, unlock it, open it, take off the gun lock, unlock my ammo case, disassemble my weapon, load the rounds in a stripper clip (a round sled of sorts) load the gun reassemble the weapon, Hope that my weapon doesn't jam or have a catastrophic failure because of the dangerous fixed magazine, hope my family has not been raped and or killed in the 30 mins it's taken to load the weapon (because its also illegal to leave a weapon loaded ) and hope to GOD I am not arrested for brandishing a weapon.

This is not CA law yet. It still has to pass through several more votes.

I dont mean to be an idiot, but my understanding of what the law really states I have not fully understood yet. Can anyone give me a laymen term for this? I plan on getting a VZ58 and loading it via stripper clips soon, so I am not sure where this law would put me if I had the gun and it was passed.

Just as a secondary question... Um, what is going to happen when Yee is told that a 45 cal handgun is actually a bigger and more lethal caliber bullet ???

Has ANYONE challenged Yee on his knowledge of weapons? Why the AR and not say the Remington 700 or the Ruger 10/22? Is it the look of the weapon? It must be because most rifles can shoot 10 round mags and are not fixed The 223/556 is no more lethal than a 308, 30-06, 243, 357, 44, 45, should I go on?

Makes no sense and I have yet to hear the Tyrants tell me why specifically they have made this law other than "Um, ... cuz....." WHERE IS ROMNEY ON THIS ISSUE???
