I think you should put her up for adoption and I'll take good care of her for you, so you can take more care of your 4 other kids(AR's), really I'll take her no questions asked just drop her off at your local adoption agency aka ffl dealer

Whatcha think?

I think you better get that thing out of Northern CA before you get popped for a felony AW....unless of course you took these pictures OUT OF STATE....Or you somehow got the AW registered, maybe through an LEO exemption...

Other than that, nice build bud!

Maybe it has a bullet button? Hard to see. And a tax stamp?

Read the other posts. You did not understand the meaning of my question. Doesn't anybody read implicit messages anymore? Do I have to scream FELONY for the question to be understood?

Ya if your rocking a 30 rounder in cali with a bb its an assault weapon, illegal in california. Not to mention that is a modern Pmag. Not likelu owned before 2000.

It's the OP own business if he wants to post pictures of an illegally configured weapon if he wants but for those that don't seem to understand the AW flow chart....

That is not a pre-ban magazine and it's definitely holding more than 10 rounds. That is an illegal AW in our effed up state!

Though both of the above may likely be true, both are not necessarily true. I just wouldn't be bold enough to post pictures of possible felonies. Please don't forget presumed innocence in jurisprudence even though I made statements above in contrary.

My question with the implied message, was really to advise caution, especially with the recent media and legislative attention.

Exactly, I think a lot of gun owners have Hi-caps we just keep them dissasembled till the zombies show up! :)

Yes, I have no idea why people keep putting them on long rifles.

There's no way to tell if a magazine is "pre-ban" or not, as it could have originated as a 30 round usgi mag in 1992. You can rebuild/repair your legally owned high capacity magazines anyway you want up to the point of replacing the entire mag eventually, as long as there is a clear path of repair (you can turn a 20-round USGI into a 30-round Pmag because the parts are mostly compatible, but you can't turn a 15 round Ruger P89 mag into a 30 round Pmag).

The fact that it is probably inserted into a fixed mag rifle is another issue entirely.

Lol! I appreciate your liberal view/interpretation of the pic the OP posted and it's no skin off my back what he does. I'm just a firm believer of the old saying....

"If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it's a post ban 30 round windowed pmag" :D

KX3 on a long barrel? That's no fun. it's weight and design was meant for shorter SBR/pistol length barrels to mitigate pressure problems and to throw the blast forward. There are so many other options that do this that weigh much less than the pig.
DPMS linear comp for ones and
Troy has a break that does this as well.

But you pinned and welded it so oh well....

i'm agreeing with you that the OP's photo is probably a no-no. But not because of the legality of the high-capacity magazine's existence, rather its application.

lol..
