Ok... I can't believe I'm doing this, but I have to.. :(

I have up for sale my Iver Johnson M1 Carbine. Yes it is a commercial copy.. I built it up form a receiver with all GI parts (except for the repo type I band) The stock is a birch stock that has been refinished with Tung Oil. It has about 600rnds down the tub, but since the Underwood barrel is used, not sure how many it saw.. Bore is in perfect condition though. The rear sight is a type II milled that was taken out of wrap. The slide is a IP type V. The mag catch has the extra tab for the 30rnd mags. The rifle will be up at Chabot Range tomorrow for viewing at Range 8 from 7:30 am up until I leave around 2pm. I'd like to do a PPT at either CastroValley Gun Shop Saturday if I get any takers, or at Irvington Arms Tuesday when they open at 11:30. . Rifle comes with a sling and oiler already attached. No mags as I don;t have any 10rnd mags...I'm asking $375 and no trades as I need cash. Buy the way, this is not a C&R rifle

OK.. 2nd Carbine for sale.. It started off as a CMP Plainfield receiver that I reparked. It has a Underwood barrel and all GI parts except for the repo type I band. The rear sight was taken new out of wrap and is a type III stamped sight. The slide is a type IV, and the mag catch is of the M2 variety. The trigger housing is the later stamped/brazed unit with a flip safety. The stock is a walnut low wood with no M2 cut. The stock has several small dents and dings with 2 or 3 faded out rack numbers. It is a very reliable rifle and has about 400rnds down the tube.. But, since the barrel us a used GI, I don;t know how many rounds it has seen, but the bore IS in perfect condition and it shoots great. The rifle comes with a sling and oiler already attached. No mags as I don't have any 10rnds mags for it. I'd like to do a PPT for it at either Castro Valley Gun Shop or Irvington Arms. The rifle will also be available for viewing tomorrow at Chabot Gun Range from 7:30am up to around 2pm. I'm asking $325 for this rifle. This is not a C&R rifle

well... if I don't get any takers by the end of tomorrow... I might consider shipping it.. but you have to have a FFL that will accept shipment from a private party.

Thats a good deal since the beater M1's are going for $500 + and up and these sold for $300 and some change. Its been a long time since I have seen $300 carbines.

I can see why we would be tempted to say why not buy both when we buy one!:D

Take care everyone!
