I ordered a Tactical Machining .308 upper, and am now about to order a Troy TRX battlerail. Apparently there are 2 versions of this rail, depending on the height / thickness of the DPMS-style rail. Anyone buy a TM .308 upper lately that wouldn't mind taking a measurment? The Troy is on sale, and I don't think my TM will arrive soon enough. I've also emailed TM, but have not heard back yet.

What I need is the thickness of the area between where the charging handle is and the upper. It's either 1/8" or 3/16"

Thanks!

I just measured my TM-308 upper and do not find 1/8" or 3/16". I get a measurement of .1510. I can tell you though that it uses the newer "lower" rail vs. the older "higher" rail. I used the Apex handguard on mine, they measure from the centerline of the barrel.

From http://www.apexhandguard.com
"(The distance from the barrel's centerline to the top of the receiver rail after August 2009 model is 1.253")"

You need the LP Troy model for the newer TM uppers.
