Hi all,

I now have enough long arms that it makes sense for me to get a double rifle bag, and could use some help in choosing one. I'm looking for a soft case that has a sling (maybe backpack straps?), and enough storage for a few mags, cleaning kit etc. It would be nice if there's enough room to slide in a handgun too. It needs to be able to fit:
1. AR (collapsible stock, 16" barrel)
2. 10/22
3. Kel-tec 16A
4. Benelli Nova pump (18.5 inch barrel).

Obviously not all at once. I'm looking for a reasonably priced bag that's durable. I'd rather spend a bit more for a bag that will last me longer than an inexpensive one I'd have to replace in two years. Keep in mind usage will mostly be to the range, not dragging behind me in the bush.

Any suggestions? Mods, if this is in the wrong forum, please move as appropriate.

Thanks!

I've got 3 of the 5.11s which have been great. Had them for about 4 years with trips to range 3-4x per month.

My Miller 182 has been great. Very durable and plenty of room.

I have a Voodoo Tactical 2 rifle case. It can easily fit for rifles. It's held up pretty well for a few years.

Hey, im in the same situation. Sorry to hijack the thread..but i think are we in the market for a similar item. Looking for something that will hold my ar15 and mossberg 500 (18.5 barrel). I notice that most of these rifle cases either come in 36 inch or 42 inch. Only problem is the shotty is 36 inches exactly..and the cases claim to hold a rifle up to 35 inches. The 42 inch cases seem too long for my liking.

Im curious...Anyone try fitting a 35 inch shotgun into one of these cases? Will it fit if its on an angle? Dont wanna spend the money only to find out It wont work. Cheers everyone.

I like the voodoo tactical ones. Just make sure you get a newer production one cause they have lockable zippers

I chose the Condor over the Voodoo Tactical. Better execution of similar designs, IMHO.

Artoaster, I did see the Condors as well, typically for a lower price. Do you find the quality equivalent as Voodoo? Do they also have lockable zippers?

I have the one from opticsplanet in fde. Also got a free hat when I bought it a month ago. Its good if you have a long gun thats over 42 in but less than 45. It's very nice and well made. I also have the condor versions for double rifles that fits up to 35".

+1 for Voodoo Tactical.

Got mine at my nearest surplus store for $80.00. I bought the 36" case.
Its a good soft case. When I first brought it to the range, I was carrying my ar & handgun, my friends ar, targets, cleaning kit, and bullets. Case was really heavy but held up like a champ.

Got the 36" double and 42" double from Condor. Zippers are lockable and you won't have to drink the Voodoo Kool Aid!

Also, on the Voodoo the front pouches cannot be removed.

Thanks for the info. Been looking for a double bag for the AR15 and the bolt rifle. This is one of the few I've seen that are long enough to accommodate a bolt action rifle.

the voodoos and 5.11's look quite functional but at a high price point. Are there more low-priced options out there for those of us whos bags only see the light of day in a car trunk and the 200 yard walk from the parking lot to the bench and back?
