View Full Version : Mega Billet upper/CmmG lower Question

Long story short, I'm building an AR from scratch. I have a cmmg lower (new) and came accross a killer deal on a Mega Billet upper and was wondering if it's gonna match up ok. Reason I ask is because the Mega lower and upper are sold as a matching pair. Please advise..John

You should be fine. My buddy has a MEGA Upper on a Spikes Tactical lower. I believe the reason they do that is so the style matches; the billet uppers have a very distinct style from the forged ones.

I have a DPMS upper on a CMMG lower and they fit perfect

Mega does a lot of color anodized matching lowers and uppers, this is another big reason why theyre sold as a set. The takedown pin locations are completely the same as a forged upper (just tighter tolerances). You'll be fine if you do this.
Post Pics! :cheers2:

Is it a 308? If so, then no it will not fit. CMMG is a DPMS type receiver, whereas the Mega MA-Ten is SR-25 type.
Both use the same magazines, but both use different types of receivers.

JPach-Nice catch! I completely forgot that Mega's .308 receiver is the SR-25 style
