Ok, So I was wondering if this barrel 16" 5.56 NATO, 1/7, Chrome-lined, Chrome Moly Vanadium, HPT/MP Mid-length Gas, Light profile Barrel
http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/ar-15-05/barrel-clearance/16-5-56-nato-1-7-chrome-lined-chrome-moly-vanadium-hpt-mp-mid-length-gas-light-profile-barrel.html features M4 feed ramps?

If it does than I am assuming I can use an upper with M4 feed ramps as well.

If this barrel does not can I still use an upper with M4 feed ramps? Does it require other parts?

Thanks Guys.

You can have m4 feedramps on the upper and not the barrel, but not the other way round.

I read over this but it says here that "Can I run a M4 barrel in a regular upper receiver? Sure, there seems to be no issues with this... or you could just dremel in the receiver cuts.

Can I use a regular barrel in an upper receiver with M4 cuts? I don't recommend it... "

it has m4 ramps

Oh ok so it does have the M4 feed ramps. So it would be advisable to purchase an upper receiver with M4 feed ramps as well?

Out of curiosity do you own one? if so how do you like it?

Hell no dont use m4 cut upper with a none m4 cut barrel extension. the shortened cut in the extension can cause an issue feeding, due to the ridge.

It is difficult to obtain a3 none m4 cut uppers. My only supply is from Range Tool so it should be very easy for you to obtain a m4 upper from palmetto.

The bullet tips never really touch below the middle of the cut in the extension, but damn near everything made these days will have the M4 cut.

it has m4 ramps

I searched around on their website and found this http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/ar-15-05/upper-parts/barrels/16-hammer-forged-chrome-lined-mid-length-light-profile-barrel.html

which worries me a little because they are very similar barrels but this one specifically states it has m4 feed ramps where as the one I ordered does not.

I disagree, it depends on the brand of mag and follower.

so you are saying you would assume they do have M4 feed ramps?

I am going to call tomorrow morning to verify but they are closed right now
