Hello,

I have for sale a 1950's (I was told) Colt Python with a 4" barrel in blue.
It comes with a set of original Colt wood grips, which have an unusual color to them. I think they are original to the gun or original to that period as I have not seen a similarly colored pair on newer guns. The grips look brand new. Bore is excellent as well.

There is external finish wear at the cylinder locking points and at the muzzle which has been touched up. Otherwise, the lockup and trigger pull feels like a brand new gun. There is no cylinder play at the point of hammer drop.

I'm asking $950 firm, PPT in the Los Angeles area- Turner's Pasadena or Insight at Artesia preferred. Metroshot is also a possibility.

This is an OFF SB15 list item, and MUST be transferred thorugh local PPT. Don't pass up your last chance to buy an original Python! I will move this to the online auctions if it doesn't sell here in a week or two.

Thanks!

Well let me say I'm next in line if it falls through for whatever reason. I know, slim chance, but you never know.

A couple of years ago, I went and spent 10 days on a friend's 240+ acre farm in Kentucky. He had a piece the same as this one, except nickel plated. By the grace of my good friend, I had the opportunity to carry this piece with me all over the farm, in my pocket, tucked in my pants in the front and back, and I had more than one oportunity to shoot it at our made up range on an unused padock for at least 3 days. It was love at first sight, and I resolved myself to find one sooner or later, and it looks like its a bit later, not soon enough and about time!!! I'm a HAPPY camper!
