Im wanting to build ar10 . just like how i got my ar15 , most likey I will put put together the lower and get a complete upper . so I just want to get much information as i can .
I've look at some lower and note indicates "DPMS & Mags Compatible "
does that mean , some upper assembly will not work on some lower ? and some lower will not work with magpul magazine ?
im looking at two lowers at this moment . TM , Quentin
any informations will be great . thanks

it means that there isn't just one .308 AR design.
The 2 main versions arethe Armalite AR-10 design and there is the DPMS LR-308 design. They look similar, but there are differences. There are a couple other lesser-know designs as well.
Yes, uppers and lowers are not interchangable, and magazines aren't either.
It isn't like how basically all AR-15 parts are interchangable.
The Magpul .308 magazine is designed for the DPMS LR-308 pattern

If I had it to do over again I would build exactly what I have.... I went with a Tactical Machining lower (DPMS style) and build off of that. I love this rifle.
