I have a spare ar lower and want to get a 410 semi auto. I can buy the ar 410 upper or a saiga 410 for close to the same price.
Not sure which way to go
Opinions?

I've been thinking about a .410 upper. The only thing that is holding me back is you can't have a pistol grip and a collapsible stock even with a BB, so I'd have to swap my stock out yet again.

Do they work reliably? I've heard in general they tend to jam a lot, but I haven't heard any real specifics.

I ve heard that too, some do some dont. It doesnt take but a minute to hate a gun that jams and i want to get rid of it, which is why im leaning towards the saiga. What about a fixed stock with pistol grip?

I think i changed my mind, i wanted an ak to go with my draco and wanted an upper to go with my spare lower, so ill split the difference and buy an AR upper in 7.62 and scrap the 410 idea to curb my gun buying addition, lol i already have a mossberg 410 and a winchester 9410 so i dont need another 410

410s are fun to shoot!

I considered building an AR 410, but laziness & work got the better of me right now!! Its still in the works!!

I wonder how well these things feed.

What kinds of animals can you hunt with a .410 bore shotgun?

I think these work best with Federal .410 shells. I saw a youtube video on it and it had trouble feeding longer than standard 2.5" shells.

the slugs would make an impressive hole, but forget any usefullness for any load past 75 yards max
