Although I didnt delete your posts you guys should know that if you want to make a deal you need to use the PM for price questions or just dont comment if you think its not a fair deal, Im sure everyone thinks this rule is fair but once a week we have someone commenting on a price even when they themselves have stuff for sale for the last month...meaning the price will ethier move your goods or it wont but the out in the open questioning on anyones add shouldnt be done here.

Carry on, hope the pistol sells asap.;)

Looks like I missed some fun today. I can not check the computer during the day but do when I get home from work. I have responded to the PM's sent. Any other questions will be addressed in the evenings. Thanks to the folks who showed interest.

You are an optimist! I've seen 2-3 547's in CA in the last 7 years or so. One had an astronomical price and one 2 years ago I was broke and couldn't afford the $410 asked! Good luck in your quest though. Only 10000 or so were made and even in free states they seem to be getting high asking prices.

Correction: make that "I've seen 3-4 547's in CA in the last 7 years or so."

I've had this one for about 12 years, so I doubt you saw this one in the last 7. It's a 547, 4" barrel square butt. (It's "New In Box" but box and papers not pictured.) The photo make it look dull, but I can assure you the blue is high-gloss and the case coloring on the hammer and trigger are real purdy. Posting for those wondering just what it might be that Schlamoo is after. ;)

Show everyone in a pic if you can the unique extractor system that takes away the need for moonclips.

DUH! Good idea! Why didn't I think of that?! Here it is: note the edge tang of the ejector rod and how the extractor head has a mechanical lip to lift up under the 9mm rim, pull it back and flip it sideways from the center, to pop it away from the extractor head. Nifty, but was complex to manufacture and assemble. As the reliability of modern DA 9mm semi-autos improved, the idea of needing a 9mm revolver for ultimate reliability died. No longer was there as much fear of a semi-auto failing to chamber or have a FTF/FTE at the worst possible moment, so the idea of a revolver being needed for surety simply fizzled. They don't call them "wonder nines" for nothing!

Last I saw 547's were selling for $800-900+ on the online auctions. That is hands down one of my favorite S&W revolvers- no hassle of moon clips, light recoil, and very accurate. Mine's the 4" bbl with square butt, I think. Yours looks ike a 3"er? I remember my barrel looking a bit longer.. it's been awhile since it's seen the light of day though :D

Well thank you for your thoughts Moonclip. I suppose I like being an optimist. I have owned both a 3" and a 4". Sold both and thought I'd throw this out there as I know there are 2 547's in Nor-Cal. Now if you have a 547 but feel it is worth more than the Kahr then please feel free to PM me and let me know how much cash difference you'd like. I may not aree to it, but I doubt you could scare me.

Now, if anyone has an interest in the Kahr please let me know.

Keep in mind, this includes 3 of the best holsters made -- Alessi is the best!

How could one sell not one but two 547's!? I hope they went to good homes! If I get one I wil cherish it! I think another reason 547's are hard to locate is I feel that a good percentage of the production went overseas where 9x19 was more of a standard and accepted before it was in the USA.

I wish you the best of luck in your quest, especially since you are in Nor Cal and wont be taking the SoCal ones from me:) I have a line on one right now actually but I'm not sure if it was sold yet and I'm a bit low on $.

Hope you don't think me calling you an optimist is an insult, I wish I could be more of one myself actually.
