West End Gun Club (http://www.wegc.org/wordpress/), but you need to be a member. Longest range they have is 300 yards.

Pala Gun Range (http://www.ncsapala.com/), but you need to be a member. Longest range they have is 887 yards.

For my time/money it's tough to beat the Angeles Crest range. They provide targets and stands out to 200 yards and then have silhouette targets out to 600 yards on the rifle side, 100 on the pistol side. Thursdays are half price days and not too crowded. The facilities are pretty clean and the sooting benches for the rifle side are cast concrete and are the most solid I ever worked with.

Like any range they have a few range masters that were weened on pickles (there's always one or two) but the others ar every friendly.

@ Dhena81 - I get your sentiment, and believe me, I'm with you on being kinda tired of seeing the same old questions, especially ones google answers sufficiently.. But the first result on your LMGTFY was OC Indoor Shooting Range in Brea. Not your fault that google cooked up a stupid answer, but I thought it funny enough to mention.

@ Bizinsteadofgame - Angeles Shooting Range is my first choice for outdoor shooting ranges. They will not set up your targets for you, you get to set them up. They will not give you target stands if you are too lazy to bring your own, but they provide stands for rental. (which you also make a deposit on - shoot the stand, lose the deposit.) A quick google search could have answered your question, but I understand you may have wanted the opinions of fellow gunners.

I like Lytle Creek Range (off the I-15).

Max range is out to 300 yrds. They'll provide the stand, but you have to set them up yourself. $14 dollar range fee allows you to shoot the whole day if you want.

You don't need to be a member to shoot at Pala. They'll let you shoot a couple times on Monday (that's when the range is open). They hold one match a month as well on a Sunday. Really cool place to shoot, it would be worth the drive.
