Picked up a USC on sale from Turners. Thing is super light and super accurate at close range. It's no AR so shooting a couple hundred meters isnt really feasible.
It did recoil more than an AR but it's very easy to manage.
I got the decals from Yellow Dog Designs (socalbowhunter)

You've got a nice carbine and, as I see you've found out, one that's easy to make featureless. Not that effective beyond 100 yards given the trajectory required to lob a .45 bullet out there, but out to the 100 yard mark it works well.

I like mine, like it even more after adding an M3 magazine compatible lower and a little cosmetic work (milling UMP cooling slots, adding forend and receiver rails). With a decent RDS, you'll find that it's almost boringly accurate (if that's possible, that is!). My daughters like shooting it more than an AR, which is not good for my ammo budget...

Jeez, you order decals from me, you should at least let me shoot it. :)

That is an awesome HK. Best featureless rifle I've seen.

Made mine featureless and its a a barrel full of monkeys.Grumpy, have u tried reloading for it yet? I too am growing broke trying to feed it and was considering loading some 200gr plated lead. Kinda scared to run it down an Hi barrel though.

I have a ton of lead round nose I reloaded but only a 1911 I can shoot it through. Wish I went jacketed. I want to load some hot 180gr and see how flat it will shoot. Probably not very but better than 230 @ 850

Congrats. I always liked the USC but like all things with the HK label they were priced higher than I could afford. There are places that so USC to UMP conversions. I've also seen 9mm conversion barrels and mags.

Mine turned into a UMP within a day lol. Cool gun though.

Yeah I would do it except for the 100-140 dollar mags and the 600+ conversion :o

Not yet. I wouldn't worry about sending plated lead bullets down the bore, but wouldn't say the same about exposed lead unless it were cast very hard. Even then, I'd be watching for signs of leading.

I also made my USC a UMP featureless build. The cost of the USC was less than the parts to convert to a UMP

Nicely done! You have a very well set-up carbine there. +1 on adding a red dot - preferably a small unit such as an RMR or a Fastfire III.
