View Full Version : Any experience with Cabela's belts?

So I'm about to make an order on Cabela's, and I am thinking of tossing in a relatively cheap belt, they have a number of them for 20 bucks. Im looking mostly at the 5.11 belts or the Cabela's brand shotshell belt in brown. Any experience with these belts? Im mostly looking for something that will be stiff enough with my gun on it, but don't want anything too ugly.

Here's the linky

I don't have experience with the shotshell belt, but I use the Cabela's Double Duty every day and it performs like a belt three times its cost.

importance of quality for your carry belt... is all-important.

Yes I agree, except at this point I don't really get to carry in "important" situations. If I ever required a high end belt, I would shell out the money. But this is just a start, to get something more rigid than regular leather belts. Thanks for the input, I took a swing at the 5.11 double duty, we'll see how it goes. For only 20 even if it isn't perfect, I'm sure I can deal with it!
