Disappointed in the selection of cases in general in San Diego. Have been to American, Discount, Duncan's, Iron Sights, Parallax, SoCal, and Turner's thus far....no joy.

I am looking for 40" to 44" small, square cases (I don't care to advertise, thank you very much...) in padded nylon (for travel to and from ranges), and hard-shell (for other transport).

Who has a decent selection of rifle and shotgun cases in San Diego? Is North County any better than down here?

I have been looking online for one also. The best deal I have found is the Blackhawk Sportster Modular Weapons Case. \Its only $40

Gun cases for long arms tend to look like gun cases, even the square ones. If you want discreet consider picking up a guitar case from Guitar Center. you can get them in soft or hard shell in a price range that will suit you. Most can be modified to suit your needs.

Otherwise, much like holsters, you're better off ordering online.

Just bought a Plano ProMax Double Rifle hard case on ebay...$58 bucks shipped. Can't beat that, its a pretty nice case for the money.

Not sure I havent been in town for a few months. I know North County Firearms had a decent selection of Voodoo Tactical stuff. That brand tends to run at a decent price. Quantico Tactical in Oceanside tends to carry higher end more expensive cases. There are lots of Marine oriented gear stores in downtown Oceanside that carry tactical nylon gear so you might be able to find one around there.
