Hey everyone,

I guess this fits in here, lol. But I was curious if anyone had any suggestions on an outdoor range in Vegas. I will be down there this weekend and wanted to sight in my new HDMR!

I want to sight in at 100 and hopefully stretch its legs out around 200 to 500 yards.

Any help is appreciated guys!
Thanks

If you want to go to an actual range, instead of a piece of the desert, head over to the Clark County Shooting Park (http://www.clarkcountynv.gov/Depts/parks/Pages/clark-county-shooting-park.aspx).

They are open on Wed-Sun from 0700-1900 hrs.
Fee is $7 for all day (pistol/rifle/archery).

Currently there are:
30 stations @ 50 yards
15 stations @ 100 yards
15 stations @ 200 yards
Use paper targets for their target stands which interface in the concret target stand hardpoints set at specific distances.

Eventually, they will be adding a 500 yard and 1200 yard rifle range.

If you go out into the desert, do no shoot in a prohibited area (see Clark County firearms closure map (http://gisgate.co.clark.nv.us/gisplot_pdfs/cp/illegalfirearms.pdf)). Otherwise, LVMPD may be talking to you.

There's that huge dry lake on the way next to I-15. Any way to legally get on that and shoot?
