Have a freind who lives in Dublin, CA and is looking to get his first AR 15. What are the good shops in the area.

Thanks.

I've been to J&R in Livermore. Nice people running it. Not arrogant. Patient and knowledgeable. It's downtown off first street. After you check out AR's, stop by the First St Alehouse down the street. Good beer on tap and solid pub-grub.

I bought my Kaiser Defense Calguns lower from the guys at J&R in Livermore. Great group of guys, good selection of gear.

Just over the hill is Tracy Rifle & Pistol. I've been buying my parts and accessories from them these days. Friendly and helpful gun store guys.

I would say J&R, or if you want to make the drive head to Tracy.

Do these gun stores also sell stripped lower receivers?
