Hello all!
After a recent trip to Arizona and shooting my brothers Taurus Millennium PT140. I told my brother how much I liked the gun. Well he bought me one for my birthday in Arizona but I'm not sure if/how to go about transfering it into my name and bringing to CA if even possible? Anybody have advice on this? Any info/help is much appreciated! I did look on the DOJ roster and DO NOT see it listed. I'm worried that I can't even accept the gift?

The transfer has to go through a California licensed dealer, but because that handgun isn't on the Roster the dealer would have to use either the single shot exemption or the "family" transfer exemption.

The PT140 might be difficult to convert for the single shot exemption because the barrel is so short. Finding a longer barrel and having the pistol converted would probably be expensive and complicated.

Brother to brother transfers do not count as "family" transfers under California law. Only transfers between parent and child or grandparent and grandchild count. Depending on where your parents and grandparents live you might be able to make it happen, but it would involve multiple transfers with at least one of the transfers having to go through a California licensed dealer.

For the price of the Taurus, you'll probably spend more on taxes, transfer fees, and conversion than the thing is probably worth.

I personally don't think it's worth it.
